"My Pay, My
Say" drop campaign
We knew once a
decision came down from the U.S. Supreme Court in Janus v. AFSCME,
anti-worker forces and their corporate-funded backers would come after
our union.
Emails from "My Pay, My Say" may have begun
arriving in your members' inboxes. "My Pay, My Say" claims to
support working people. That couldn't be further from the truth.
This campaign is backed by the Mackinac Center for Public
Policy, a Michigan-based anti-worker organization that is part of web of
so-called "think tanks" pushing an extremist agenda. Guess who
funds the Mackinac Center? That's right, U.S. Education Secretary Betsy
DeVos and her family, plus a slew of other wealthy ideologues who hate
unions and public education.
The Mackinac Center has pushed for charter schools, vouchers
for private schools, decimating pensions for educators and other public
employees, putting caps on educators' health insurance, using test scores
to evaluate teachers, getting rid of tenure - the list goes on and
on.
This fake think tank and its web of funders don't care about
workers and want to destroy public education. Their goal is simple. They
want to divide Americans across racial, religious and economic lines.
They don't want us to come together to fight for better pay and working
conditions, the quality public schools our kids deserve or strong
communities.
Find out more about how we are stronger when we work
together in union as Education Minnesota.
Together,

Aug. 23-Sept. 3
Education Minnesota's
State Fair booth is open. Sign up to volunteer today!
